When Soaked changed their name to 40ft Ringo, they changed their image as well. So the web site needed a complete redesign too. After seeing my personal website, the band decided they wanted a site with the same kind of comic book feel, attitude, and sense of humor.

They're just as serious as ever about making it big, so the site had to be taken seriously, without taking itself too seriously. The band was quite pleased with the results.

The pages within hold a definite consistency, while adding enough randomly drawn contents to give each page some variety. The most noticeable are the illustrations on the left of the page. Unless the image is extremely relevant to the information on the page, as when on any band member's personal page, the illustration is drawn from a ever growing pool of images.

While creating the illustrations, I was given free reign over the comments the band members were saying/thinking. This worked out great, showing that the band can make fun of themselves.

One of the biggest challenges in coding this site was making the outline of the information seem so simple. The outline expands and contracts vertically as the information demands it to, while keeping the bottom-left tail of the outline in line with the box part. The effect is completed by having the line begin from behind whatever illustration is there. So no matter how long or short the copy, the entire page looks like it was tailored to be a perfect fit.
